Fresh Market bolsters real estate leadership

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Fresh Market has appointed Randall A. Young as the company’s SVP of real estate and development, effective Sept. 30.

Young will oversee the company's real estate and development functions, including market strategy development, site selection, store design, construction, store relocations and renovations.

"Randy is a great addition to our senior leadership team and brings a strong real estate background and deep knowledge of site development with growth-oriented retailers," said Craig Carlock, president and CEO. "With more than 30 years of experience in real estate development, Randy's broad corporate experience and deep industry relationships are a great fit as The Fresh Market executes on its aggressive national store growth strategy."

Young most recently served as VP of real estate at Advance Auto Parts, a leading retailer of automotive aftermarket parts, accessories, batteries and maintenance items. Prior to Advance Auto Parts, Young was managing VP of site acquisition and development at Cedarwood Development, president of real estate at Clear Channel Entertainment and held a variety of real estate and construction roles at McDonald's.

Young earned his JD at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and has a Bachelor of science in civil engineering from Ohio Northern University.

Founded in 1982, The Fresh Market operates 140 stores in 26 states across the United States.
