Hudson's Bay Company has appointed a former Toys”R”Us executive and Target veteran as chief of human resources.
Dan Caspersen will be responsible for leading the human resources function across the company, and report directly into the office of the chairman, the company said.

Caspersen brings more than 30 years of experience to the company, with experience across a range of global industries. Previously, Caspersen oversaw global human resources at Toys “R” Us, where he led all human resources functions, including staffing, employee relations, training, development, compensation and benefits for more than 20 countries worldwide. He was also responsible for corporate communications and the consolidation of Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us.
Before joining Toys “R” Us, Caspersen spent 25 years at Target Corp. developing and implementing cross company human resources practices.
Caspersen holds a Bachelors of Sciences degree in business administration and a Master’s degree in industrial relations from the University of Minnesota.
