Former JCPenney exec joins Bealls

BRADENTON, Fla. According to local reports, former JCPenney executive Lana Cain Krauter, joins Bealls as the first female president of one of its subsidiaries, and will be the highest-ranking woman at the company.

Krauter will lead Bealls Department Stores, effective April 28.

Krauter has held positions at Specialty Retailers, Sears and Goody's Family Clothing before serving in her most recent position as evp and general merchandise manager at JCPenney's.
