Former Federated CEO Charged With Perjury

New York City, New York Attorney general Eliot Spitzer charged former Federated Department Stores chairman and CEO James Zimmerman with perjury, published reports say. Zimmerman pled not guilty to the charge.

The charge stems from testimony Zimmerman gave during an antitrust investigation into whether or not Federated and May Department Stores colluded to block rival Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. from selling Lenox and Waterford tableware.
