Former Endeca exec new COO at OrderGroove

5/6/2013

NEW YORK, N.Y. — OrderGroove, a leader in subscription retail solutions, has appointed Mike Camp as COO.

Camp has more than 15 years of leadership experience in enterprise technology, including SaaS and cloud solutions. He most recently served as VP of worldwide client solutions at Bazaarvoice pre- and post-IPO, where he built and managed a team of more than 150 people and was responsible for more than $50M in annual revenue. Previously, he held executive and management roles at Endeca (acquired by Oracle in 2001) and Business Objects (acquired by SAP in 2001).

As COO of OrderGroove, Camp will be responsible for the company's day-to-day operations, including overseeing the success of the company's growing client list and its continued expansion. "In 2012, OrderGroove tripled its client roster and increased revenue by more than 400%," says Camp. "The growth potential for OrderGroove and the subscription retail industry is massive."

Camp joins OrderGroove as the company continues to post record growth for its cloud-based subscription retail solutions. A rapidly expanding list of world-class brands and retailers, including L'Oreal, Jockey, Grainger, Rogaine and NBTY, turn to OrderGroove to power subscription retail marketing programs that drive sales and profitability by increasing annual spending, purchase frequency and customer lifetime value. Retailers with subscription programs powered by OrderGroove's technology and team find that subscribers spend 200–400% more annually than non-subscribers.

"Mike brings deep expertise and leadership in retail and enterprise technology, and a proven record in driving client success," said Greg Alvo, CEO and founder of OrderGroove. "It is a tremendous pleasure to welcome him to the team as we continue to usher in a new era of subscription retail, to drive incredible top and bottom line impact for our retail partners by offering a convenient experience for their customers. We look forward to Mike's immediate and long-term impact on our business."

"Recent studies show that marketers in the U.S. must bring in nine new shoppers to equal the revenue of one repeat purchaser. Companies that provide an easy and convenient way for customers to receive frequently purchased products will win," says Camp. "OrderGroove's technology and value proposition align perfectly with the future of retail and together we can truly revolutionize this sector. I'm extremely excited to be part of OrderGroove's next phase of growth as well as help shape the future of Subscription Retail."
