Former Children’s Place chair/CEO elects board nominees

5/15/2009

Secaucus, N.J. During The Children’s Place Retail Stores’ annual meeting of stockholders on Friday, the company’s former CEO and chairman Ezra Dabah filed proxy materials that nominated three candidates for the chain’s board of directors.

Dabah, who currently serves as member of the board and remains the company’s largest stockholder, nominated Raphael Benaroya, Jeremy Fingerman and Ross Glickman.

The three candidates hold experience in specialty apparel retailing, including mass consumer marketing and real estate, “which are key competencies for specialty retailers, and disciplines that the current board lacks in experience,” Dabah said in a statement.

Stockholders will place their votes at the company's annual meeting on June 26.
