Former Albertsons exec to head Movie Gallery

DOTHAN, Ala. Movie Gallery has named C.J. Gabriel, Jr. as president and ceo of the company. He will succeed Joe Malugen, chairman, president, ceo and founder of Movie Gallery.

Gabriel most recently served as evp of marketing, merchandising and supply chain management at Albertsons. In this role, Gabriel defined the vision, mission and operating goals of Albertsons "Demand Chain" functions and developed and implemented strategic and operational business plans that restructured the organization.
