Food industry club honors Cotten-Nakken

3/16/2010

CERRITOS, Calif. The Food Industries Sales Managers Club honored Caroline Cotten-Nakken, president and CEO of Mass Connections, and Kendra Doyel, VP public relations and government affairs for Ralph’s at its annual Women in the Food Industry luncheon on March 10.

Selected by the board for their outstanding contribution to the industry, these women join a long list of industry veterans who have served as business leaders and stewards of their communities, representing companies that manufacture, produce or represent a product or service sold to the food industry, the organization reported.

As CEO of Mass Connections, Cotten-Nakken oversees a company that has managed more than 10 million promotional events throughout the United States and Puerto Rico for clients such as General Mills, Hershey's, Kraft and Procter & Gamble.

“Caroline is one of the most generous people I know when it comes to mentoring people young in their careers in the food industry,” observed Cynthia Weifenbach, president of FISMC. “Many careers—especially those of women—have flourished thanks to her help.”
