FMI spent $880K lobbying in Q4
Washington, D.C. The Food Marketing Institute (FMI) spent $880,000 in the fourth quarter to lobby on the federal budget, credit-card fees and other issues, according to a recent disclosure report.
That is a little over half of the $1.58 million that the group spent in the year-ago period, and less than the $1 million it spent in third quarter 2009.
The trade group for food retailers and wholesalers also lobbied on retail crime, data breaches, labor, health care and other matters.
