Under Armour has brought its experiential “brand house” store concept to downtown Detroit.

The three-floor, 17,000-sq.-ft. space reflects the company’s roots in Baltimore and also pays homage to the history and spirit of Detroit. The design uses athlete imagery and product installations to convey an immersive brand experience and inspire customers.

Local artists were commissioned to do paintings in the fitting rooms of Under Armour athletes Misty Copeland, Justin Verlander and the legendary Muhammad Ali. Artwork from Baltimore-based artists reflects the history and relentlessness of Detroit.

The new store features men's, women's, and youth apparel, footwear and accessories, along with Detroit- specific apparel that celebrates the legacy of the city in both sport and style.

"The opening of the Under Armour Detroit Brand House underscores our continuous commitment to investing in strong American markets and giving all athletes access to our best-in-class products and technologies,” said Susie McCabe, senior VP of global retail, Under Armour.
