Federal Realty taps Forest City exec to strengthen mixed-use development team

Rockville, Md. -- Federal Realty Investment Trust announced the addition of Ramsey D. Meiser to the newly created position of senior VP of mixed-use development reporting to executive VP of development Donald Briggs.



Meiser will be based in the Trust's Headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, joining the firm January 2016. In his new role, Meiser will be responsible for management of Federal's multi-billion dollar mixed-use development pipeline in the Mid-Atlantic region from concept thru execution. His initial focus will be on the overall stewardship and execution of Pike & Rose, Federal's newest neighborhood under creation in North Bethesda, Maryland, as well as strategy and planning for the next set of opportunities in the region.

Meiser comes to Federal Realty from Forest City Enterprises, where he has spent much of the past decade stewarding The Yards, Forest City's much heralded and expansive six million sq. ft. mixed-use development near Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., as its senior VP of development. Prior to his time at Forest City, Meiser spent nearly 16 years at the Mills Corporation, where he worked in various development capacities on over five million sq. ft. of development.
