Fashion Bug hit with lawsuit
Atlanta Fashion Bug has been hit with a lawsuit filed by The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) on Friday for allegedly firing an employee because of her age, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
According to the EEOC suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Charming Shoppes at its Fashion Bug store in Rome, Ga., subjected co-manager Angela Ray to discriminatory terms and conditions of employment because of her age, including disparate discipline, before she was fired.
The EEOC said it filed the suit after first attempting to reach a voluntary settlement. The suits asked for back pay, liquidated damages and job reinstatement.
The company operates 26 stores in metro Atlanta.
