Family Dollar’s Mahoney to Retire

Matthews, N.C., George R. Mahoney, Jr. is retiring from Family Dollar Stores as executive VP, general counsel and secretary. During his tenure with the company, Mahoney had responsibility for various areas, including legal, investor relations, corporate communications and human resources. His retirement will be effective May 27.
