Family Dollar names loss prevention VP
MATTHEWS, N.C. — Family Dollar Stores announced that it has named Christopher Nielsen to the position of VP loss prevention. Nielsen will report to Bryan Venberg, SVP human resources.
“Chris has been instrumental in driving our culture of accountability and customer service while helping to make Family Dollar a safer place to shop and work,” said Venberg. “With Chris’ ongoing leadership, we will continue to drive loss prevention initiatives that reduce inventory shrinkage and provide a compelling shopping environment for our shoppers and our team members.”
Nielsen began his career at Family Dollar in 1998 as regional loss prevention director, and was promoted to regional VP in 2001. Prior to joining Family Dollar, he served as regional loss prevention manager at Jumbo Sports.
