Family Dollar names internal audit vp

MATTHEWS, N.C. Family Dollar Stores today announced that it has named James Hays to the position of vp of internal audit. Hays will report to the audit committee of the company's board of directors and Ken Smith, senior vp and cfo.

Prior to joining Family Dollar, Hays spent 19 years in various roles with Delhaize Group, most recently serving as director of internal audit.
