EZ Lube Adds New POS

EZ Lube, Santa Ana, Calif., is rolling out a new point-of-sale system from Wincor Nixdorf, Austin, Texas.

When searching for the ideal POS solution, the quick-lube company needed a system that could withstand the wear-and-tear of an exposed, open-bay layout that deals with factors such as weather, dirt grease, and other work-related contaminants. The BEETLE/iPOS terminal fit this requirement.

The compact unit runs an Intel Pentium 4 mobile processor, and integrates into the vendor’s entire BEETLE POS family. It is also supported by an open technology platform that streamlines software deployment, enabling users to configure the solution to meet their store-level business needs.

In May, EZ Lube will have nearly 500 units installed across its 83 Southern California locations. The units will also be added to new locations as they open across the region.
