Express, King of Prussia, Pa.

6/9/2011

Express is launching a store design concept created by the hot Japanese design firm Wonderwall. The new format, debuting at King of Prussia Mall, King of Prussia, Pa., has a modern, sophisticated look and combines elements of refined chic with more unconventional materials. It also introduces social media into Express’ store environment. The same concept is sets to launch at Kenwood Towne Center in Cincinnati.

The visual focal point of the space is the dual-gender Denim Lab, which features an oak wood ceiling and suspended trellis in aged timber, polished concrete flooring and outrigger mounted wooden shelves that are framed by black velvet curtains. Wood merchandising tables with black accents are located at each end of the room and highlighted by an 100 silver globe LED light installation.

The store features interactive touch screen computer stations, where customers can shop online and browse the Express Facebook page and Twitter feed. Mirrored video monitors in the front of store and cashwrap allow for live streaming of Express fashion shows and events.
