New execs named at Best Buy

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. Best Buy announced the promotions of Barry Judge to EVP, chief marketing officer, and Tim Sheehan to EVP enterprise retail operations. The promotions were effective July 27.

Judge joined Best Buy as a member of its e-commerce team in November 1999. In 2006, he was named SVP marketing, with responsibility for oversight of the company’s customer research and development capability in order to facilitate increased ingenuity in service of customers and focus on growth. He also gained responsibility for marketing communications, internal communications, public relations, public affairs and promotions at that time. He was named Best Buy’s CMO in 2008.

Sheehan started with Best Buy in 1985 as a part-time sales associate when the company operated just a handful of stores. He began his work at Best Buy’s corporate headquarters as operations director and has held a multitude of positions in retail operations, consumer relations and store support. His most recent role was SVP customer experience creation.
