Ex-Staples vp pushes easy button to jail

1/30/2008

Boston James Dorman, a former vp of Staples, was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison for embezzlement.

The Associated Press reported that Dorman, who embezzled close to $600,000 from Staples, will also have to pay the company $585,000 in restitution.

Dorman plead guilty to mail fraud, wire fraud and money laundering for submitting invoices for made up vendors and using corporate funds to pay for personal travel for himself and three women, according to the prosecution.

Staples fired Dorman in 2005 after learning of the embezzlement.
