Ex-CIO Dillman to receive recognition
Former Walmart chief information officer Linda Dillman is among a group of 10 executives who will be recognized for outstanding achievement in driving diversity and inclusion in the consumer product and retail industry when the Network of Executive Women gathers next month in Orlando for its annual meeting.
Dillman joined Walmart’s Information Systems Division in 1991 and was named CIO in early 2002. She held that position for nearly four years before serving three more years as EVP risk and benefits. Dillman left Walmart in 2009 and later became SVP global IT for Hewlett-Packard.
In addition to Dillman, other executives being inducted into the CPG Retail Diversity Hall of Fame include: Jeri Dunn of Bacardi, honored for her work at Tyson Foods; Tom Greco of PepsiCo; Don Knauss of The Clorox Company; Jeff Noddle, retired CEO of Supervalu; Kay Palmer of J.B. Hunt; Judy Spires of Kings Super Markets, formerly with Acme Markets; and James White of Jamba Juice Company, honored for his work at Safeway.
“These honorees were early advocates of gender diversity and inclusion in CPG and retail and have shown true leadership in providing women and underrepresented groups real opportunity for career advancement,” said Joan Toth, president and CEO of the Network of Executive Women. “Their actions provided early evidence of the business case for the power of workplace diversity.”
