Ethan Allen debuts new ‘Design Center’ store concept

Design is at the center of Ethan Allen’s new retail format at Garden City Center, Cranston, Rhode Island.



The 6,000-sq.-ft. store, features an innovative display concept that showcases the company’s new interactive design service.



The open floor plan has design stations and six large touch-screens that invite customers to work directly on projects with the company’s design professionals in a space outfitted with the latest technology.



“This is an Ethan Allen some people may not recognize," said company chairman, president and CEO Farooq Kathwari. "The products are relaxed and relevant to today's lifestyles, the technology on the floor is state-of-the-art, and the Design Center itself is located where our clients live and play."



The space displays products in “shops” and inspirational room settings. The on-site design professionals can help as little or as much as a customer likes to facilitate the creative process and take the guesswork out of design.
