Esprit Takes Top Honors in Design Competition

New York City, Esprit’s flagship location in Manhattan was named 2004 Retail Store of the Year in Chain Store Age’s 23rd annual retail design competition. WalkerGroup, New York City, designed the 10,000-sq.-ft. store, which represents the apparel brand’s return to the U.S. market.

In addition to Store of the Year, there were 26 first-place awards, 13 honorable-mention awards and two special awards. A panel of retailers, designers and architects judged the competition.
