Eq-life to Shutter Last Location
New York, Eq-life, a retail chain launched and later spun off from Best Buy Co., will close its last remaining location, in St. Paul, Minn., the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported.
The concept was originally launched by Best Buy in 2005 in a bid to market to women shoppers. The stores included a spa/salon, pharmacy, retail shop and a Caribou Coffee store. Best Buy dropped its majority ownership of the stores in 2006, and CEO Mike Marolt took over.
