Electronics drive Costco comps in June

ISSAQUAH, Wash. Costco reported a 6% increase in same-store sales for the month of June, slightly above the 5.8% increase that was forecast by analysts. The increase was driven in part by strong sales of TVs and small electronics and total sales for the five-week period ended July 8 rose 10% to $6.35 billion. Domestic same-store sales were up 5% for the month while international sales rose 10%.
