Edens & Avant completes redevelopment at Toco Hills Promenade
Atlanta Columbia, S.C.-based Edens & Avant said that it has completed its redevelopment of Toco Hills Promenade, a 52-year-old shopping center in the Druid Hills neighborhood of Atlanta.
The redevelopment project, launched in early 2010, includes new storefront lighting, green screening and landscaping, a repaved parking lot, along with pedestrian-friendly walkways and public gathering places.
“In considering our redevelopment options, we wanted to create a place where local shoppers could relax and reconnect with one another,” said Lyle Darnall, managing director for Edens & Avant.
Along with the center’s redesigned architectural elements, anchor tenant Publix has also undergone a major interior renovation, with most renovation work occurring at night to accommodate shoppers. The grocer has also added its curbside service where customers may shop online and designate a time to pick up their groceries in front of the store.
Toco Hills Promenade also has an evolving tenant mix with several new restaurants and retailers that include Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, Goldberg’s Bagel Company & Deli, and Wright Orthodontics.
