Eddie Bauer names execs to aid turnaround

BELLEVUE, Wash. Eddie Bauer Holdings today announced a series of appointments that, according to the company will be instrumental in advancing its turnaround plan.

Marv Toland joins Eddie Bauer as senior vp, cfo. He most recently serced as evp and cfo for London Fog Group, where he was responsible for the finance, accounting, systems, legal and customer service functions. Prior to joining London Fog in 1999, Toland was cfo of Brooks Sports and previously held a variety of finance-related positions with Exxon.

Freya Brier has been named senior vp, general counsel and secretary. She joins Eddie Bauer from Wild Oats Markets, where she oversaw all legal, real estate and construction, food safety and regulatory, and ethics matters. Prior to joining Wild Oats in 1996, Brier served as corporate counsel at Synergen., a biotechnology company, and as a partner with the Colorado law firm of Holme, Roberts & Owen.

Ronn Hall will take the position of senior vp of sourcing and supply chain. He joins Eddie Bauer from Coldwater Creek, where he has served as vp of sourcing and production since 2004. At Coldwater Creek, he built the company's sourcing organization from the ground up and was successful in dramatically lowering the company's production costs and growing gross margin, while improving on-time delivery, product quality and fit. Prior to Coldwater Creek, he was vp of production and sourcing for Limited Brands and held positions with Pacific Alliance, J. Crew and Kellwood.
