Echo Global Logistics promotes operations exec on heels of Q2 results
CHICAGO, Ill. — Echo Global Logistics, a leading provider of technology-enabled transportation and supply chain management services, has promoted Nick Hannigan to the role of VP, corporate development.
In his new role, Hannigan will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute strategic acquisitions and partnerships as Echo continues to execute its growth strategy. During his six-year tenure with the company, he has held a variety of operating and management positions.
"Nick's intimate knowledge of our clients, service offering, and the Echo culture will help ensure that we continue to develop and close new strategic relationships that add value to all Echo stakeholders," said CFO David B. Menzel.
"Our acquisition strategy is an important element of our growth and client service plan, and we are pleased to have Nick lead this critical area," said CEO Douglas R. Waggoner.
Hannigan is a graduate of the University of Chicago.
Echo Global Logistics maintains a Web-based technology platform that compiles and analyzes data from its network of more than 24,000 transportation providers to serve its clients' shipping and freight management needs. Echo procures transportation and provides logistics services for clients across a wide range of industries, such as retail, consumer products, manufacturing and construction.
The company saw total revenue for the second quarter ended June 30 increase 21% to $224.1 million, from $185.2 million for the same quarter last year.
