Eastern Mountain Sports prepares to launch next-generation site

Peterborough, N.H. Eastern Mountain Sports is upgrading its Web site with a new platform. Based on a multi-year contract with King of Prussia, Pa.-based GSI Commerce, EMS will upgrade its Web site using the vendor’s e-commerce and order-management services.

“Leveraging GSI’s technology platform and e-commerce expertise will enable us to focus on our merchandise and industry expertise while still maintaining full control of site merchandising, content management and promotions,” said Jeffrey Neville, CIO and VP e-commerce, EMS. The retailer’s upgraded site will launch this fall.
