Easter Bunny hops into Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart announced today that in similar fashion to Santa Claus back in December, the Easter Bunny will make appearances in more than 3,000 Wal-Mart stores and Supercenters next week.

According to a company press release, customers can pose with the bunny and receive a free 5 inch by 7 inch photo (while supplies last). Customers can also purchase additional prints and create other projects using the photo at Wal-Mart’s digital photo center.

In December, Wal-Mart held a similar event with Santa Claus making appearances in more than 3,000 stores across the country. Children had the opportunity to take a picture with Santa and receive a free 5 inch by 7 inch photo.

As it did with the Christmas holiday, Wal-Mart is calling out its efforts for Easter, and has even gone so far as to have a designated “Easter Shop” on its Web site, www.walmart.com.
