While most retailers haven’t upped their 2016 holiday hiring over last year, Amazon is not among them.
The e-commerce giant announced it plans to hire more than 120,000 workers in the United States this holiday season, with positions across its network of fulfillment centers, sortation centers and customer service sites.
Last year, the company hired some 100,000 holiday workers. More than 14,000 of the temporary employees stayed on in regular, full-time roles after the holidays, and it expects to increase that number this year.
Amazon is hiring temporary help in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
