DVD provider and coin counter gains new exec
Coinstar Inc., operator of 31,800 Redbox DVD rental kiosks and 18,800 coin-counting machines has a new chief customer officer. The position will be filled by Maria Stipp who joins Coinstar with more than 20 years experience in the video game and consumer packaged goods industries.
She will lead Coinstar’s sales organization and joins the company having served most recently as EVP and general manager of Activision’s Owned Properties global business unit. In that capacity, Stipp led a global team consisting of more than 140 people and was responsible for marketing, finance, sales, human resources and franchise development. Prior to Activision, Stipp held positions with Vivendi Universal Games, Miller Brewing Company and Kellogg.
