Duckwall-ALCO sees modest comps increase

ABILENE, Kan. Duckwall-ALCO today reported sales from continuing operations for the five weeks ended July 1 increased approximately 3.6% to $47.6 million compared to $45.9 million in the prior-year month. June same-store sales increased 1.7%. Excluding fuel sales, June merchandise-only same-store sales increased 2.2%.

Sales year-to-date increased 2.9% to $200.4 million compared to $194.8 million in the prior year, and same-store sales increased 1.1%.
