Duckwall-ALCO monthly sales up 4.7%

ABILENE, Kan. Duckwall-ALCO Stores today announced that its sales from continuing operations for the four weeks ended Oct. 28 increased approximately 4.7% to $35.3 million compared to $33.8 million in the prior-year month, and same-store sales were flat with and without fuel sales.

Sales for the third quarter increased 5% to $114.3 million compared to $108.8 million during the same period last year. Same-stores sales increased 2.2%.

Sales year-to-date increased 3.9% to $348.3 million compared to $335.1 million in the prior year and same-store sales increased 1.8%.
