Dr Pepper celebrates 125 years

PLANO, Texas Dr Pepper Snapple Group management celebrated the 125th anniversary of Dr Pepper last week by ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange.

"Dr Pepper has an unrivaled taste and a maverick spirit," said Tony Jacobs, VP marketing for Dr Pepper. "Starting out 125 years ago as a regional drink, Dr Pepper has expanded into a revered national brand by connecting with consumers because of its unique taste and the brand's dedication to making emotional connections with its consumers."

 

To celebrate Dr Pepper's 125 birthday, the company announced the launch of a wide range of activities to share with the consumers who made its success possible. Plans include downloadable content for consumers on DrPepper.com, as well as engaging with fans via Facebook and Twitter.
