Dots launches product-tracking technology

Glenwillow, Ohio Dots will bring interactive merchandising technology to its Web site by allowing customers to track fashions, search for product availability and be notified when the merchandise arrives at a nearby store.

With the new feature, customers can log on to the site and with just one click, check for product availability at store locations within a 10-mile radius. If a particular product is not yet available, customers can request an e-mail be sent to notify them when the merchandise is available to purchase.

“We are thrilled with the launch of the new web feature and the opportunity to develop long lasting relationships with the Dots digital customer," said Rick Bunka, president, Dots, which operates more than 400 stores. "This is another way to connect with our fashion conscious, trend savvy customers and delivering what our customers really want -- the opportunity to know when her favorite fashions are at her favorite store."

Dots partnered with Denver-based digital advertising agency, Xylem, to design the new online functionality.
