Dollar General offers customers ways to support our troops
GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Dollar General announced that throughout November, shoppers can record a message of gratitude or send a care package through www.dollargeneral.com/military.
“As we gather with friends and families this month to give thanks, we want to salute those who are serving our country,” said Rick Dreiling, Dollar General’s chairman and CEO. “We’re happy to offer our customers these unique opportunities to say thanks to the men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedom.”
Throughout the month, customers may purchase care packages for a soldier online at www.dollargeneral.com/military. The available care packages include male or female-specific essential health and beauty items such as deodorant, shaving supplies and medicine for $20 or $30. Customers will provide the soldier’s mailing address and Dollar General will ship the packages for free to any valid address in the United States including any APO/FPO.
At www.dollargeneral.com/military, consumers can record a thank-you message for troops via webcam or upload a message from their computer. Well-wishers will be able to upload videos year-round.
