A new retail concept called The Mint Shack is the latest example of how the narrowest of consumer interests can be served with a digital presence — one that can also expand to a physical presence.
A first-of-its-kind website focused on all things mint. The Mint Shack has a simple philosophy, according to owner Scott Crillo, find the best mint products — from taste to color — and offer them under one roof at a fair price.
“As the founder of The Mint Shack I have been a mint lover for as long as I can remember. From mint chip ice-cream, shakes and jubilees to mint fragrances in my soaps, shampoos and lotions,” Crillo explains on his website. “The taste and smell of mint has been the one constant in my life that has always given me calmness and the color of mint gave me a feeling of serenity.”
The company's goal is to have retail stores located at major amusement parks and tourist attractions, with a mint bar offering mint juleps, teas, ice creams, brownies, chocolates and treats. The product assortment will be expanded in the coming weeks to include women apparels, home décor, mint lotions, shampoos and skincare.
Crillo said the The Mint Shack will be redefining what specialty stores will look like in the near future.
Until then, in the lead up to St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, the company is offering a 17% price reduction on all its products.
