Dillard’s supports RMHC with special edition cookbook

10/2/2013

Apparel, cosmetics and home furnishings retailer Dillard’s is offering a custom edition of the Southern Living Christmas Cookbook to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The exclusive, 288-page hardbound cookbook is filled with holiday recipes, color photos, menus, decorating tips and entertaining ideas and costs $10. It is available at all Dillard’s stores nationwide, as well as online. Proceeds from the sale of the cookbooks will benefit local Ronald McDonald Houses operated by RMHC Chapters in Dillard’s markets.

“Families come to us in a time of great need. Their child has been hospitalized, they are facing financial burdens, trying to keep their family together, searching for hope and healing,” said J.C. Gonzalez-Mendez, CEO Ronald McDonald House Charities. “Through the generous support of donors like Dillard’s, we’re able to open our doors and hearts to these families. We’re able to make sure that children get the best medicine of all — their families.”

Now in its 20th year of support, Dillard’s has raised more than $10.4 million to benefit RMHC.

“Our continued relationship with RMHC gives all of us at Dillard’s an enormous sense of pride. We look forward to another successful fundraiser this year and are honored to support the Ronald McDonald Houses in our communities,” said Denise Mahaffy, VP of Dillard’s.

Dillard's operates 281 Dillard's locations and 17 clearance centers spanning 29 states plus its e-commerce site.

The Ronald McDonald House program provides families with seriously ill children a “home-away-from-home” while their children are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.
