Dillard’s to Cut Workers

Little Rock, Ark. Dillard's Inc. department store chain says it is eliminating about 500 jobs from its work force of 60,000 people.

A news release sent out Friday evening calls the job cuts a "strategic staff reduction" and part of the company's "ongoing efforts to reduce operating expenses."
