Pittsburgh – Dick’s Sporting Goods has launched an extensive update of its mobile app. The updated app offers features including access to the ScoreCard rewards program, a store locator, and in-app purchase functionality.
In addition, users will have the ability to receive personalized coupons and offers, as well as built-in barcode scanner functionality allowing them to scan product and marketing QR codes in-store for information including product description, news, price and user reviews. Other features include integration with Dick’s social media channels.
“We want to provide a best-in-class shopping experience for all of our customers, whether they’re visiting a physical Dick’s Sporting Goods store or if they’re shopping for products online,” said Lauren Hobart, Dick’s Sporting Goods chief marketing officer. “Just as we’re continually evolving and improving our in-store experience, we’ve enhanced our mobile offering to make the app as immersive as possible, whether you’re using it in the store or at home.”
The app is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod Touch as well as from Google Play, or for both iOS and Android smartphones on the Dick’s e-commerce site.
