Nordstrom Inc. is expanding its supply chain management team.

Brent Beabout

The retailer has appointed Brent Beabout as executive VP, supply chain, effective April 3. Nordstrom already has an associate with the same time: Mike Sato, who was named to the post in February 2014. In its release, the retailer said Sato remains in his role and will be supported by Beabout.

“We’re in the process of more clearly defining how Brent and Mike will work together in this new structure,” a Nordstrom spokesperson told Chain Store Age.

Beabout most recently served as senior VP, eCommerce supply chain for Walmart and Sam’s Club ecommerce operations. Before joining Walmart in 2014, he spent five years at Office Depot, where he was senior VP of supply chain from 2012 to 2013, and VP, global network strategy and transportation from 2009 to 2012.

Prior to that, Beabout served as VP of engineering at express carrier DHL Express.
