Dell to open first retail store in Russia
MOSCOW Dell today announced that it is opening its first exclusive retail store in Russia early next month in the new Gorbuskin Dvor retail center in Moscow.
According to the company, the store will feature notebooks, desktops, servers, printers and other products from Dell, and staffed by specialists trained specifically about Dell products and applications. In addition to selling Inspiron products for home use, the store will demonstrate Dell Vostro products and servers designed specifically to help simplify IT for small businesses. The store will be managed by Nexus, a Dell Partner.
"Russia's rapidly growing computer market is reflected by the 800 percent growth in the number of Internet users over the past seven years to approximately 28 million. Dell is making additional investments in its business in Russia - both products and services - to meet the growing needs of the country's IT market, which is expected to double over the next four years," said Dell chairman and ceo Michael Dell said.
