Dell enters new retail venture with Staples
ROUND ROCK, Texas and FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--( Dell is expanding its retail presence with the announcement today that the long-time direct-to-consumer company is partnering with its second retailer, Staples. According to the companies, Dell notebook and desktop computers, monitors, printers, ink and toner will be available at Staples stores nationwided beginning Nov. 11.
Dell commented that its partnership with staples is the latest in a series of retail agreements aimed at reaching more customers worldwide. Staples will be the only office superstore to offer Dell products in stores and through its Web site, the companies reported.

Now with Staples we’re bringing all the benefits of direct to shoppers across America,” said Michael Dell, chairman and ceo of Dell. “With Staples, we are underscoring our commitment to listen to customers and deliver what they want – new and exciting ways to experience Dell’s award winning products with the same great prices and convenience.”
Dell first ventured off the direct-to-consumer path in May when it announced that it was partnering with Wal-Mart to bring Dell computers to Wal-Mart stores nationwide.
