Delhaize extends deal with Western Union
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. Western Union said Wednesday that it has extended its agreement with Delhaize's U.S. division to bring its services to 1,120 locations nationwide.
Delhaize began offering Western Union services in 1993 at a small number of Food Lion locations, Western Union reported in a press release.
"At Delhaize Group, we are proud of the strong name recognition of our store brands and of our customer loyalty," said Richard James, vp of Finance for Delhaize Group. "We also are proud to offer convenient services to our customers. Western Union is well-known for its trusted brand and conveniently located services, which is why it makes perfect sense to extend our agreement with them."
