Dean Foods Co. appoints new SVP, CIO

DALLAS Dean Foods Company, announced Tuesday that Barbara Carlini, 49, has been appointed to the position of SVP and CIO.

Carini will report to Greg McKelvey, EVP and chief strategy and transformation officer. Carlini has a proven successful track record in information technology and will be the driving force behind the critical transformation efforts for the $12 billion organization.

Barbara brings extensive experience in the food and beverage industry to her role at Dean Foods. She most recently served as the corporate V{ of the Mobile Devices Division at Motorola. Prior to Motorola, Barbara was CIO of Diageo Americas, responsible for leveraging technology as a key driver of organic growth for the company. Prior to Diageo, Barbara served as senior IT director at Nabisco. Barbara has experience in both the Direct-Store-Delivery and warehouse business models and has run multiple company-wide system integration efforts.

"Barbara is an outstanding project leader, governance advocate and driver, team builder and motivator."

Dean Foods' WhiteWave Foods division produces a variety of nationally branded dairy and dairy-related products, such as Horizon Organic dairy products, Silk soymilk and International Delight coffee creamers. WhiteWave Foods' Rachel's Organic brand is the largest organic milk brand and second largest organic yogurt brand in the United Kingdom.
