D’Agostino adds price optimization

Regional grocer D’Agostino Supermarkets is rolling out a price-management solution across its chain of New York-based stores.

D’Agostino, which built its reputation on localizing the shopping experience to the neighborhoods in which it operates, is adding the Advanced Pricing Solution for Pricing Management, from Revionics, Sacramento, Calif. The solution models prices of every item in every store on weekly increments, and provides on-demand scenario modeling to create a pricing strategy ideal to each store’s shopper clusters.

The technology is also available as a software-as-a-service subscription offering over the Internet.
