Dabah may make bid for Children's Place

Ezra Dabah, former chairman and ceo of The Children's Place and his wife, Renee Dabah, announced in an SEC filing today that they are considering the possibility of making an offer to acquire the company.

In the filing, the Dabahs stated that they were concerned about The Children's Place's future and a possible decline in shareholder value. They said they are looking into private equity sponsors and strategic buyers to help with the possible acquisition and will discuss the matter with other company shareholders. In additon, the Dabahs said that they have hired Bear, Stearns & Co. as financial advisor.
