CVS/pharmacy 2Q comps rise

WOONSOCKET, R.I. CVS Caremark today announced that same-store sales in its CVS/pharmacy division for the four weeks ended Aug. 25 increased 4.9% over the prior year period. Pharmacy same-store sales increased 4%. Front-end same store sales increased 6.8%.

Same-store sales at CVS/pharmacy for the thirty-four week period increased 6.1% over the prior year period. Pharmacy same-store sales increased 6.1%, while front-end same store sales increased 6.3%.
