CVS giving away 100,000 flu shots
New York City CVS Caremark Corp. said Thursday it began a program that will give 100,000 free seasonal flu shots to the unemployed.
The drug-store operator gave out vouchers for the free vaccines in Boston on Thursday, and also administered some flu shots. The vouchers will be given out in other locations starting Monday. In total, CVS Caremark said it will give away vouchers for $3 million in flu vaccinations.
The vouchers can be redeemed at CVS pharmacies that are running flu shot clinic events, or during regular business hours at walk-in MinuteClinics inside CVS stores.
