CVS Caremark spent $2M lobbying government in Q1
Washington, D.C. CVS Caremark Corp. spent $2 million in the first quarter lobbying on issues related to universal health care, regulatory policy and labor laws, according to a recent disclosure form.
The company also lobbied on Medicare and Medicaid legislation, generic and biologic drugs, supply chain issues, food imports and other healthcare matters in the January to March period.
CVS Caremark lobbied Congress, the Department of Health and Human Services, the White House, Food and Drug Administration, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, according to a form filed April 20 with the House Clerk's Office.
The company runs more than 6,900 retail pharmacies nationwide.
